What is the Annual Giving Campaign?

The Annual Giving Campaign is Riviera PTA’s biggest and most successful fundraiser.  Each year we ask for $365 per child/student from each of our families, in order to meet our yearly PTA budget, which is over $240,000 and funds over 45 programs, field trips, special events and part-time support teachers including our Science teacher and our iPad teacher.     

 

$365 is just a DOLLAR A DAY! Investing in your child’s educational future is worth it!

 

 You may not know this, but the Riviera PTA funds ALL of our enrichment programs and part-time teachers.

Last year we raised over $205,000, including $126,000 to hire support teachers, including science and computer lab which create smaller classroom opportunities in every grade, allowing for more individualized attention to all of our students. This unique model of teaching at Riviera has been hugely successful and is supported by both parents and teachers.  

It is important for you to know that our state and district fall painfully short in funding our children’s education.   These are programs and teachers that are NOT funded through the State, District or tax dollars.

Nationally, California is still ranked in the bottom three states in both spending per student and class size!

Riviera Elementary is proud to have over 300 families contribute to our Annual Giving Campaign each year.  We strive for 100% family participation in this very important fundraiser.
